Beyond the hospital, Crown Pet is home to a premium cat hotel offering supervised accommodation, a fully stocked pet shop with vet-approved products, and international student training programmes that nurture the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Founder's Story
Dr. Chandika Wickramasinghe
In 2022, Dr. Chandika Wickramasinghe set out to raise the standard of companion animal care in Sri Lanka. A graduate of the University of Peradeniya, he served as a companion animal resident clinician and lecturer at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital before pursuing advanced training in veterinary cardiology and dentistry across the United States, Malaysia, and India.
With this breadth of knowledge and a deep commitment to animal welfare, Dr. Wickramasinghe co-founded Crown Pet alongside a team of four fellow shareholders. Together, they built a hospital grounded in specialised expertise and compassionate practice.
Today, Dr. Wickramasinghe continues to participate in global veterinary conferences and serves on the WSAVA Global Dental Committee representing South Asia — bringing international best practices back to the pets and families of Sri Lanka.
